GPG Key Changes

clock May 12, 2009 08:48 by author Wes
Due to the recent hard drive crash, I have had to remake my GPG keys. I use them most of the time for siging Git tags, but I can (and do, from time to time) use them for emailing purposes. I'll post more updating everyone on what I've been up to since the crash of '09, but right n... [More]

Ghetto Tech Release

clock April 25, 2009 20:28 by author
While fooling around today in Ableton I had to get this one off my chest and up on my site for kicks. I haven't taken time to properly mix this one (though if anyone is interested, I certainly can/will)... This was done in - I'd estimate 40 minutes - and it really shows the power of Ableton Live's ... [More]

Daniel Jumping in the Tub

clock March 15, 2009 19:04 by author
It seems that there is one repeating trait of Daniel's personality so far -- he loves to laugh and make others laugh. He started doing this tonight in the bathtub... who knows why. Luckily, a video camera is never far behind. :)  Enjoy! .w

New Deep / Tech House Track

clock March 8, 2009 21:47 by author
Robotic Subplacement This mp3 comes on the heels of many sites read on mixing down and mastering. Some of the synths and drum hits you hear come from the new Marshall Jefferson House Generation DVD. While a lot of sample CDs, reason refills, etc start sounding monotonous after hearing 200 of the sam... [More]

New Track Release - Dirty Up Yourself

clock February 17, 2009 20:57 by author
Dirty Up Yourself (Wes' Light-On-Da-Vox Mix) is finally complete. Some of you may have heard it as a track entitled Jackin' It Up. However, it has been remastered and I have snatched the old Foremost Poet's vocal loop out. This track has some legs of its own and can walk without the su... [More]

A Short Primer on Git

clock January 9, 2009 11:51 by author
Well, it was about time I spent some time developing an instructional document on my favorite SCM application, git. I have been using it for a little over a year and really enjoy some of its features (and am really confused over some of the others). This short document contains some usage instructi... [More]

Halloween 2008 (with Daniel)

clock November 14, 2008 07:19 by author
Here are the long-awaited Halloween pics from this past Halloween. First, we took Daniel to Safety City, a miniature 'town' in Mechanicsville, Knoxville. We had a pretty good time, though it didn't seem like the Halloween party they had was geared for children of Daniel's age. I'm thankful that we g... [More]

Extending Your VirtualBox-based Guest OS' Primary Hard Drive

After searching around the 'net and find various solutions to this problem, I decided to use the concepts I had learned to put my own method to work for me. The only tool you will need for this is the Ultimate Boot CD. Download this ISO, it is very useful for other things besides being necessa... [More]

Victory for Obama and America

clock November 5, 2008 08:53 by author
America is once again on the right track. Those who have known me for a while realize that I lean towards the left on most issues (gun control being the only exception). After losing faith in the 'system' and America's citizens' ability to choose an intellectual as a President... [More]

clock October 31, 2008 06:58 by author
After putting my DJ career into retirement for a couple of years while I settled down with wife and child, I felt I was missing something in my life. I still listened to house music quite a bit after putting the turntables in the closet... but still there was something missing. S... [More]

Essential Links for Model-View-Presenter Framework (used alongside Supervising Controllers)

clock October 25, 2008 07:47 by author Wes
Well, here’s the story of how I got into this. I went to CodeStock, went to the MVC class/lecture, messed with MVC for a month or so, kept finding blog posts comparing it to MVP, researched MVP and its benefits, said, “Yeah, this is really what I need.” So that’s how it went, here’s a bit more abo... Magazine Salesmen Back Again

clock October 24, 2008 20:15 by author Wes
While outside roasting coffee, I was approached by a tall kid with black, curly hair. Introduced himself as Kyle. It was the same story as last time (and almost the exact same time of day): *Selling magazines in competition with other college-bound youth *Point based system, in which it seemed lik... [More]
