Well, after my DotNetNuke Blog went down for the third time since I have had DNN installed, I have made the decision to switch my blog over to BlogEngine.NET. I have been eyeing this setup for about a year, following its progress from its very early days.

All seems like a go with this content management system for me. It has the ability to add extra pages, Atom and RSS feeds, the ability to use Windows Live Writer, Twitter updates, and other things that I may or may not use.

I think I am most impressed by the active development that seems to be surrounding this application, its simplicity on the back end (in case I need to make changes or find out how to bring it back online), a great amount of free themes, and the ability to post source code.

So, there are two lists of neat things about BlogEngine.NET. Now that I can use Live Writer, hopefully I will be more inclined to keep this thing up-to-date.

As a side note, and ohh how I hate to do this again - those accounts that people re-registered for on the second DotNetNuke install need to be reregistered here. I will do this for everyone, send them an email with a new, generated password in a few days. But if you catch this posting before then, you may do this yourself.

Till next time, Go Titans, Vols, and yay for NCAA basketball season approaching rapidly. Maybe the Vols can regain glory for their name.
