This mp3 comes on the heels of many sites read on mixing down and mastering. Some of the synths and drum hits you hear come from the new Marshall Jefferson House Generation DVD. While a lot of sample CDs, reason refills, etc start sounding monotonous after hearing 200 of the same kick and clap samples, with acid synths, this one is definitely a breath of fresh air. So many 303 stabs to choose from as well as 4 different arrays of vocal samples from Jefferson, Byron Stingily and more. Enjoy this new offering and let me know what you think.
Update on Other Production
There are about 9 more tracks that are in the pre-mixdown state. Another thing you may look forward to is that my buddy Nate has rounded up some vocal talent for my tracks. I look forward to this, though it will be a bit of a learning curve on my part. I've never dealt with any vocals except samples, and spoken word. Neither of these have I been forced to record myself. Time to learn. BTW, if anyone is interested in vocal recording, cutting, and layering techniques, an online acquaintance of mine and vocal deep house master, Jay-J, has detailed some of his techniques in a forum posting here, at Underground House.net [registration required].
